Where Are You Located?

Our address is 16220 Hwy 75, Plattsmouth, NE 68048. We are right on Hwy 75, which offers easy accessibility from Plattsmouth, Beaver Lake, Bellevue, and Offutt Air Force Base.  Our building is easily seen from Hwy 75 and most identifiable by our large, white steeple.  We are next to Hy-Vee and across from Burger King, just for reference points.

When Do I Need To Arrive?

Sunday morning services begin at 8:45 & 11 am.  Adult Connection Groups and Sunday School classes meet at 10:00 am.  Arriving at least 5-10 minutes prior to the service/class time will allow adequate time for parking and getting to the Auditorium/Bible Study class.  If you have small children, this will give you enough time to show them their classes and get them checked in.

Where Do I Go?

We have two carports for drop-off if the weather is inclement, or you can enter through the main entrance in the front of the building.  Greeters will be at each entrance to the building.  They will direct you to the Welcome Center, where you will be greeted by a host or hostess.  They will help you get to the main auditorium, help your children get to their classes, or show you where your adult class is.

Where Do My Children Go?

We have nurseries and classes available for ages 0-4 years during the 9 am and 11 am worship service.  You will receive a pager upon checking in and will be notified if your child needs extra assistance in any way.  We also offer children’s churches during the Sunday morning service for ages 4 years to 6th grade.  We believe it is best for children to have the Bible taught on a level that can be understood and comprehended.  We feel children should love coming to church, and we strive to make that possible.

What Should I Wear?

We are more concerned with meeting your needs rather than focusing on what you wear.

The New Testament Church

We believe the church began with the calling out of the twelve apostles by Jesus Christ and was empowered on the day of Pentecost.  We believe the local church is God’s only institution to carry out His work today.  We believe the local church is composed of members who have been saved and baptized according to the command of Christ, and have voluntarily united together for the purposes of worship, fellowship, service, and the Lord’s Table.  We believe all true believers will be taken up at the Rapture, just prior to the Tribulation (Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 1:15; Acts 2:41-43; Acts 11:15; Acts 20:28; I Corinthians 15: 51-58; Ephesians 1:12-14; Ephesians 5:25-30; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Timothy 3:4-15).

What Do I Need To Bring?

A Bible will help you follow along with the message and Scripture reading.  If you do not have a Bible, the scriptures are often shown on the screens, and we offer Bibles at the Welcome Center.  We also offer a wide variety of Bibles to purchase in the bookstore.  If you have a smart phone or tablet, there are many downloadable Bible apps available.  We use the King James Version in the church service, so if you download an app, consider using that version so it’s easiest to follow along.  Otherwise, there really isn’t anything else you need to bring with you.

Is The Church Handicap Accessible?

Yes.  There is reserved parking directly in front of the main entrance.  The building is also equipped with wheelchair accessible entrances and handicap accessible restrooms located throughout the building.  Should you need a wheelchair to use or need assistance, please call the church office ahead of time, or tell someone at the Welcome Center, and we will be more than happy to help you get to where you are going.

How Are Visitors Recognized?

We ask visitors to fill out a Connection Card, which is attached to our weekly bulletin, the UpNext.  You can put the connection card in any of the drop boxes around the building.  We will never ask you to stand up or call you out in any way.  We want you to have a wonderful experience at First Baptist Church and desire to create a friendly and comfortable environment to make you feel at home.
